This handsome 8 year old boy was surrendered to ARE Animal Rescue when his previous person passed away. Rocky had known nothing other than that person and home his entire life. When he came to the rescue, he was petrified and refused to eat or drink anything, which meant the staff had to give Rocky special care. They discovered that Rocky had urinary crystals that created a blockage. If he hadn't received the emergency surgery that was performed, he would no longer be with us!
Rocky is a funny cat who loves to keep himself entertained. If you're looking for an independent, low-maintenance cat in your home, Rocky is the one for you. He's not a huge fan of toys and he doesn't like being held a whole lot, but he will cuddle on his own terms. He is a typically curious cat who likes to explore.
Why hasn't Rocky been adopted? With his urinary care diet that is required to keep any more crystals from forming, not everyone is willing to adopt him. The special food is a little more expensive, but not a lot. Several people have been interested in Rocky....until they've heard his story.
