Every October, Riverside turns pink — not just in color, but in spirit. It’s a time when our community comes together to walk, remember, and celebrate hope. And this year, Riverside Community Health Foundation is once again leading that charge with the 14th Annual Pink on Parade, happening Saturday, October 18th at Ryan Bonaminio Park.
Pink on Parade isn’t just a walk — it’s a movement. More than a thousand people will lace up their shoes and walk for breast cancer awareness, supporting The Pink Ribbon Place, Riverside’s only breast cancer resource center. The event raises vital funds for free services like counseling, support groups, product banks, and health navigation for patients, survivors, and families.
From the inspiring 5K up Mt. Rubidoux to the family fun walk, the Survivor Celebration, and even a Pink Pet Parade, it’s a day filled with heart, healing, and community. Dawnesha Beavar, Vice President of Programs & Services for Riverside Community Health Foundation, discusses this event.
