Assuming you aren't a veteran or other person who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress, fireworks can be fun. But those big booms and cracks are terrifying for our furry friends, and more pets go missing on the Fourth of July than at any other time of the year. This year, Riverside County Animal Services will give a free pet tag to anyone who visits their shelters in Jurupa Valley or Thousand Palms and mentions "Pepper" (through July 5th, while supplies last; limit two per household). Jackie Schart, Animal Services Operations Chief at Riverside County Animal Services and PIO John Welch, discuss how to keep our furry friends safe during the Fourth of July, and all summer long.
