Riverside County In-Home Supportive Services hosts a virtual hiring event
Riverside County is hiring thousands of committed, compassionate caregivers to help older adults and those with disabilities live safely at home. If you want to apply, there's a virtual hiring event this Tuesday, August 3.
Eligible caregivers are enrolled with In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS), a state program administered by Riverside County. This program is needed more than ever as one in every five of Riverside County's 2.5 million residents is age 60 or older – a population projected to swell by 250% in coming decades.
Tiffany Nelson, a community program specialist with the county's Public Authority, which recruits caregivers for a public registry and trains them as well, and Gene Kennedy, Senior Public Information Specialist for the Department of Social Services, discuss the need for caregivers and what applicants should expect at this virtual hiring event.
