The 2025 concert series at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula came to a close Sunday night (October 12th), thanks to a performance from Sara Evans that had the audience dancing in their seats.
The Academy of Country Music Female Artist of the Year winner recently became a first-time grandma when her youngest daughter Audrey gave birth, and her eldest daughter Olivia got married - and both events happened within two weeks of each other! "Needless to say, I'm broke!" Sara joked and encouraged the audience to make purchases at her merch table.
She also humorously noted that her hit song "As If" was about a "delusional girl" in the early stages of a relationship, unaware of the potential for great heartbreak, and described her first #1, "No Place That Far," as being about "unconditional love." She shared that she has always loved singing covers, leading her to record an album of remakes released in 2020 called "Copy That."
She finished her set with arguable her two biggest songs, "Born to Fly" and "Suds in the Bucket," as bubbles streamed out over the crowd, their reflections shimmering off glasses of almond champagne.
