For over 10 years, ReWritten has been working to improve the quality of life for young people who are living with the burden of an absent father. To fill the void left by their fathers, young people will often turn to drugs to feel good, promiscuity to feel loved, and gangs to belong. ReWritten, based in San Bernardino, believes it doesn't have to be that way. They're hosting their second annual Race for ReWritten 5k in downtown San Bernardino, on Sunday, June 11th. CEO Frank Perez discusses this event, how they're supporting kids growing up with absent fathers, and his personal connection to the work of ReWritten.
