Ripple effects from the pandemic mean many families are facing food insecurity and hunger. According to Feed America, there are nearly 2.3 million food-insecure people in Southern California alone, and especially as we look forward to the holiday season, Stater Bros. Markets and Stater Bros. Charities are more determined than ever to join the fight against hunger.
“Stater Bros. is committed to strengthening our local communities by investing in local hunger relief organizations and programs," explains Nancy Negrette, Chairman and President, Stater Bros. Charities, in a press release. "Many families are struggling to meet basic needs, and these funds can be the difference between choosing to buy food or pay bills. If there is a time to step up and support our neighbors in need, it’s now,” added Nancy.
Funds raised will benefit regional food banks and advance hunger relief efforts at local food pantries, community kitchens, emergency shelters, etc, including Feeding America of Riverside l San Bernardino Counties and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
