On any given day, there are almost 400,000 children in the U.S. foster care system, and over 100,000 of those children are waiting to be adopted into a loving family. On average, these children wait almost three years to be adopted. Siblings Addy, Ruby, Aleecia, Anthony, Aubriella, Leo, and Xander of the San Diego area found themselves in that very situation when their parents were tragically killed in a car accident. They miraculously survived, but also wanted to keep their family together.
Meanwhile, Pam Willis of Murrieta and her husband Gary were preparing to be empty nesters when they saw the story of the seven siblings on the news, and, realizing that they had the space for all them, pivoted and started making plans to adopt “The Second Chance Seven.” Pam and the oldest of her adopted children, Addy and Ruby, share their incredible story of renewed hope.
