The West Coast run of Tyler Rich’s “Thinkin’ We’re in Love” Tour had come thisclose to selling out the rest of the stops along the way, but it was his show at the Brandin’ Iron in San Bernardino Friday night (October 21st) that was the first to fully accomplish this task.
Strong performances from his previous two visits to the B.I.
no doubt aided ticket sales, and his third show at the legendary Inland Empire venue was no different.
Singles like “The Difference,” “Better Than You’re Used To,” and “Leave Her Wild” had the crowd singing along, along with fan favorites like “11:11,” “A Little Bit of You,” and the newly re-added to the setlist “Adrenaline.” The California native shared that he wrote “California Grown” while driving the Grapevine,” and revealed that the deeply personal “Never Knew How To” had taken him a while to sing publicly. He included his remake of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” and delivered a well-received version of Paramore’s “Misery Business.”
Opening act Kylie Morgan also wowed the crowd, performing several songs from her brand new EP, “Songs to Say I Do,” which includes not just songs about the groom, but also ones dedicated to bridesmaids and the song she’ll use for her own father-daughter dance when she gets married in a couple of weeks. Her cover of Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” was another crowd-pleaser, along with her first official release to country radio, “If He Wanted To He Would.”
