Upland Fire Station rescues four baby raccoons trapped in chimney

It's true that we have the best firefighters in the world here in SoCal!
Last week, San Bernardino County Firefighters from Upland Fire Station 161 reported to a call of animals trapped in a chimney, and upon arrival, confirmed the presence of four baby raccoon and a Mama Raccoon!
With support from the City of Upland Animal Control, the babies were carefully extracted from the chimney, and moved to a wildlife rescue facility. With some encouragement, Mama Raccoon made her way out of the chimney. While the rescue team had hoped to locate Mama Raccoon and reunite her with her babies that evening, she was unable to be located, and the rescue facility will care for the babies until they are old enough to survive on their own before being released in the hills close to where they were found.
