The American GI Forum is a congressionally chartered Hispanic veterans and civil rights organization founded in 1948. It operates chapters throughout the United States, with a focus on veterans' issues, education, and civil rights. Tom Burciaga, former Commander of the Inland Empire Chapter of the American GI Forum, discusses the support they, along with Veterans of Foreign Wars, offer to veterans, and shares the stories of some local heroes, too.
