Shania Twain kept things fun (and fashionable) as she hosted this year’s event which took place at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. With performances by Kane BrownKeith UrbanKelsea BalleriniLady AMiranda LambertParker McCollum and The War And Treaty, it was one show no Country fan should miss and won’t have to now that it’s available on demand via Peacock.

The War and Treaty had one of the stand-out performances of the night as they turned up the volume on their current single, “Amen.” Joined by a gospel choir, the duo filled the Opry pews with high-energy, passion and next-level vocals. After earning a standing ovation from the crowd, the real-life couple sealed their performance with a kiss.

Keith Urban had a different, yet equally as mesmerizing performance as he hypnotized the audience with a stripped-down version of his song, "Messed Up As Me,” off his new album, HIGH. Surrounded by musical instruments, he captured the crowd with the song’s vulnerable lyrics, his one-of-a-kind vocals and of course, next-level guitar skills.

While the night was all about Country music, Crossover Song and Cover Song Award-winner, Machine Gun Kelly, brought an Alternative flair to the night’s festivities by closing out the show with a performance of “Lonely Road,” a fresh take on the John Denver classic, “Country Roads (Take Me Home).”

When it comes to awards, Zach Bryan and Beyoncé headed into the night as top nominees, but it was Morgan Wallen who walked away the top winner. His wins included The People’s Artist, Concert Tour of 2024 and Social Country Star in addition to a nod as a songwriter/feature on Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” which took home Song of the Year.

Luke Combs was the night's second-most lucrative winner taking home three trophies including Male Artist, Male Artist Song and Album.

Other big wins were secured by Shaboozey for New Artist and New Artist Song, Lainey Wilson for Female Artist and Dan + Shay for Duo/Group.

Receiving the highest honors of the night were Miranda Lambert, who was presented the annual People’s Choice Country Icon Award and Kane Brown who was honored as the 2024 People’s Champion.

“The fact that I get this award tonight is just blowing my mind. It’s a lot of years, tears, beers, Tito’s if I’m being’ honest,” Miranda laughed after being handed her award by fellow Texan, Parker McCollum. “I feel like I’ve been able to make so many great memories in my life and my career because of fans. Y’all allowed me to keep creating all these years… Thank you so much to the most loyal fans in the world.”

Upon accepting his award — presented by Bailey Zimmerman — Kane also thanked his fans as well as his team, wife Katelyn and took some time to share a special message to the big dreamers watching from home.

“For any kid that’s watching, anybody that has a dream, anybody that want’s to give back… there’s a lot of people that need your help,” he said. “Dream, help people out and don’t listen to people that say, ‘No.’ That’s all it’s about.”
