Hilary Duff is taking on a new project.

The former “Lizzy McGuire” star gave fans a first glimpse at the cast of “How I Met Your Father.” The 33-year-old star took to Instagram to post a picture of the cast members holding up scripts on set of the "How I Met Your Mother" spin-off.
“Who’s ready for us??? We may or may not have been sitting in front of a certain someones apartment…. #himyf,” Duff captioned her post.
According to Today, Duff pays Sophie, the lead character. The story takes place in New York, just like the nine-season sitcom “How I Met Your Mother.” Francia Raisa, Chris Lowell, Suraj Sharma, Tien Tran, Tom Ainsley, and Brandon Micheal Hall will also be on the show.
In April, it was announced that “How I Met Your Father,” the sequel series to “How I Met Your Mother,” had been given a 10-episode series order from Hulu.

The show will be set in the future as Duff’s character Sophie explains to her son how she met his father in 2021. Of course, the show will address modern dating rituals like dating apps. The show is created by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger with original “How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as executive producers.
20th Television will be producing the show.

Many thanks to Craig Erwich and everyone at Hulu Originals for loving the script as much as we did and to our fantastic team who helped put this all together. I could not be more excited. Let the speculation as to who the father is commence!”
Duff also took to Instagram with the news of her new role, saying, “I truly feel blessed, and I can’t wait.”
