Months ago, when suggesting the title of their next project be, Through the Madness, Maddie Font of Maddie & Tae had no idea the Country duo would literally be going through the madness upon its release.

With all the demands of an album release, COVID-19 still lurking and Tae delivering her baby prematurely last week after a month and a half of bedrest, the duo can’t help but laugh at the relevancy of the title.
“It’s my fault that all this crazy stuff is happening because I jinxed us with this album title,” Maddie said while laughing with Audacy’s Katie Neal.
She continued, “It’s literally like, a baby was born and now an album is born. So much going on and I keep saying I’ve jinxed us because the album is Through the Madness and we are trying to get through the madness quite literally right now.”
With the project being a two-volume venture, Maddie jokes she wonders what’s in store for them when they release the second installment this Summer.
“There will be a volume 2 later this year, we’re shooting for the summer time,” she shared. “I’m like Oh my God, what is going to happen for volume 2? Lord have mercy!”
While the pair may not know exactly what’s headed their way surrounding the volume 2 release, they can promise a fresh order of new music showcasing a different side of themselves than volume 1.
“I would say volume 1 was definitely more of like our hopeful, romantic [side],” Maddie shared. “Volume 2 is a lot more of the ballsy, bad B side of Maddie & Tae.”
Well, sounds like any madness comin’ their way better watch out… Maddie & Tae are two bad b’s ready for battle!
