If ever an Oasis reunion were possible, one would think Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl -- with his unending passion for music and all things Brit-Rock -- would be valuable as a frontline soldier for the cause. Apparently not.

Speaking with host Matt Morgan after this year’s Glastonbury festival where Gallagher and Grohl were both spotted backstage watching LCD Soundsystem’s set, Noel revealed, “I did actually bump into Dave. He was about three feet away from me when I was watching LCD Soundsystem and he was staying in the same hotel I was staying in.”

“I would just like him to wind his f***ing neck in about Oasis,” Gallagher continued. “I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that f***ing mob anymore,” he added. “I haven’t got f*** all to say to him. He’s our kid’s mate anyway.”

That last part was likely in reference to Grohl’s stated affinity for the younger Gallagher brother, Liam, whom in the past Dave dubbed as one of “the last remaining rock stars.” Grohl also co-wrote and performed on Liam's 2022 single, "Everything’s Electric."

On top of letting fans down, the rivalry between Oasis' estranged Gallagher brothers apparently has seen its fair share of monetary consequences as well, as younger sibling Liam recently revealed that a reunion tour offer was put on the table, but big brother Noel refused.

It looks like neither a massive payday nor Rock royalty can actually bring the Oasis boys back to negotiations, so for now Liam's anniversary celebrations will have to make do.
