How crazy is it to think that in just a little over two months the decade will be over!?We don't have a lot of time left in 2019, so it's important to squeeze in as much quality new metal music before everyone starts constructing their year-end "Top Albums" lists.

Exmortus - "Beetlejuice"

Since it is October and everyone's getting festively spooky and creepy in time for Halloween, I figured it would be appropriate to feature a cover by the shred-tastic metal band Exmortus. They will be dropping a Halloween-themed EP just in time for the holiday called Legions of the Undead on October 25th. Here they are putting an incredible spin on the Beetlejuice theme originally done by legendary composer Danny Elfman. Hell yeah!

Nile - "Vile Nilotic Rites"

Let's kick things into overdrive with some brutal, crushing stuff via Nile. This long-running Egyptian themed death metal band can pretty much do no wrong and their newest single proves why they've stood the test of time. This is the title track from their ninth full length album Vile Nilotic Rites out November 1st on Nuclear Blast Records. All hail Karl Sanders!

Xoth - "Back To The Jungle"

If you're digging on the insanity of Nile, then let's keep things going in that direction with a brand new song by Seattle-based tech death Science Fiction masters XOTH. Their new album Interdimensional Invocations is available on October 18th and you can pick a copy of it up at their record release show at the Highline that very night. I will see you there! This one is called "Back To The Jungle" and I am stoked to see them play it live.

City Of Industry - "Spite Me"

Since we're in the area, let's keep it local and feature another new song from a Northwest band called City of Industry. This is a short minute long burst of pure anger and frustration. It's a nice compact blast of old school sounding hardcore with a bit of a thrashy edge. This song Spite Me is from their new album "Conspire Conspire Conspire" which is available now.

Angel Witch - "Condemned"

The last song I will be featuring is from a band that started all the way back in 1976! They are one of the originators of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal "NWOBHM" scene. It's Angel Witch! This is some fun, classic sounding heavy metal with tons of melody and a great chorus. The new Angel Witch album "Angel Of Light" is coming out on November 1st via Metal Blade Records. It's gonna be their fifth official full length album.
