Your shoulder is a glorious clusterf*** of weird bones, multiple joints, and a whole bunch of muscles, ligaments, and tendons. That sentence may not sound like someone whos been crushing his anatomy studies, but I have. You don’t need to know all the details. All you really need to know is your shoulder likes to move in a lot of ways.
Today’s #MobilityMonday drill helps with that. It will come in handy before an upper body workout, or anytime your shoulders have been locked in one position for a while (there’s a lot of those times in today's world).
Because you’re moving through a lot of positions and using a bunch of different muscles, this would be a good time to remind you not to move into pain and work within your comfortable range of motion. You may not be able to keep your arms as high off the ground as I do, since I do these regularly.
I’m not gonna apologize for the blurriness. This is a one man operation and I didn’t feel like reshooting. You get the point.
Have fun and do your best,
