Seattle Rock Day is our annual celebration where we drop everything to reflect on Seattle's amazing music legacy for a full day.
This year's inaugural Rock Day Ambassador is Pearl Jam's Mike McCready!
Tune in as we reflect on the legendary guitar innovations of Jimi Hendrix, the sludgy harmonies only Alice In Chains could master, remember the hauntingly powerful lyrics of Chris Cornell, and so many more!
And for the 7th year, Seattle Rock Day is supporting the amazing work of SMASH (Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare), a local organization that connects Seattle-area musicians to free or low cost dental, mental health, hearing protection and other health services.
WAYS TO HELP:
1. Bid on some seriously SWEET Rock Memorabilia - 100% of net proceeds go to SMASH. You can score an autographed Wolfgang Van Halen guitar, a HUGE concert ticket package, a recording session at the legendary Studio Litho, your own customized Lil Woody’s burger, and much, much more.
2. Donate directly to SMASH via the Seattle Rock Day campaign.
REASON TO HELP:
Local musicians give us so much. Between now and Thursday, May 7th is your chance to pay them back and help them take care of their health through SMASH, co-founded by musician Ian Moore.
SMASH’s mission is to keep local musicians healthy. It is free to be a member. SMASH is not health insurance and local musicians can qualify for membership even if they already have some form of insurance. SMASH serves musicians living in the greater Seattle area.
WHAT SMASH OFFERS:
