Cover Versions Absolutely Hated By The People Who Originally Wrote Them
The website Louder Sound just compiled a list of cover songs that were absolutely hated by the people who originally wrote them.
Here are a few that made the list.
Apparently, Bruce Springsteen was not a fan of Manfred Mann's Earth Band's version of his "Blinded by the Light".
When it comes to Limp Bizkit's cover of The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes", Pete Townsend didn't hold back.
He said, "It was an embarrassing effort, and one that discredits a fine song."
The list also contains Weird Al Yankovic, even though he did parodies, not covers. But Coolio was not amused when Al turned "Gangsta's Paradise" into "Amish Paradise".
