As we wait to get our schedule for the upcoming season (THIS Wednesday May 12th at 5pm), we're treated with some fun Seahawks news.
It was the buzz of the last couple weeks that our Wide Receiver DK Metcalf was going to run in the Olympic tryouts for the 100m dash, with most people excited about the idea, given his astounding run down of Budda Baker
Others were met with concern about his condition leaving the race, given that this was a very different style of running that he's used to, and him being built for football instead of all-out sprint racing, raised concern about possible injury from the race. All of which can be put to bed, as he emerged in fine condition, taking 9th place amongst some of the top runners! WATCH SLOT 2
For no other reason than he just felt like doing it, and he was in the condition to do so, our boy ran with some of the best, and held his own beautifully. He put his athlete status on display over the last couple of years in Seattle, and he's still managed to step it up from there. The man is a phenom and an athlete that we would do well to not take for granted. We may very well be watching the big time athlete of our generation.
