Hey all you Rockaholics! Seattle Rock Day is back on April 7th!
In case this is your first Seattle Rock Day with us, Seattle Rock Day is our annual celebration where we drop everything to reflect on Seattle's amazing rock legacy. So many bands have emerged from the north, south, east and west of our city and with the help of our friends at Palace Law, we're giving our artists a full day of proper rock recognition.
Tune in as we reflect on the legendary guitar innovations of Jimi Hendrix, the sludgy harmonies only Alice In Chains could master, remember the hauntingly powerful lyrics of Chris Cornell and so many more!
And for the FOURTH year in a row, Seattle Rock Day is supporting the amazing work of SMASH (Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare), an organization providing medical, dental, mental health services and more for free or at a very low cost.
WAYS TO HELP:
1. Bid on some seriously SWEET Rock Memorabilia and 100% of net proceeds goes to SMASH. You can score Jack Daniels swag, SMASH merch, ticket bundles to see FIVE summer shows at White River Amphitheatre, a signed Black Keys poster and even a Godsmack PRS SE Guitar or a rare Guns & Roses snowboard signed and donated by Duff McKagen himself! 2. Donate directly to SMASH via the Seattle Rock Day campaign. Either way, everything gets a musician the help they deserve. Every musician does so much for us, it's time we do everything we can this week to pay them back!
Here's how your donation can benefit local Seattle musicians:
- $25 funds one set of hi-fidelity earplugs to protect the hearing of local musicians
- $50 helps fund an eye exam and glasses
- $100 helps fund a custom dental appliance, such as a partial denture or implant
- $250 helps fund one primary care doctor visit
- $400 helps fund four visits with a licensed counselor

After a good, long day of celebrating the sounds of the Pacific Northwest over the airwaves, join KISW at Madame Lou's for a LIVE rock show highlighting the sounds of Seattle. Featuring bands like Wyatt Olney And The Wreckage, Glenn Cannon & The Damage Done, The Eve Clarke All-Star Band, The KISW New Originals and MORE, we'll be throwing down in Belltown with live renditions of your favorite Seattle songs, auctioning off sweet memorabilia and raising even MORE money for the amazing folks over at SMASH who dedicate their time facilitating support for musicians in need.
