OFFICIAL BIO:
Born and bred in the Seattle scene, Shudderspeed is a veritable vichyssoise of influences blended to create a powerhouse of melody, riffage, and rhythm. Their compositions involve a more theatrical and cinematic approach, and their live shows are designed to take the audience on a sonic journey. Though relatively new to the scene, many of the members of Shudderspeed have honed themselves over the last decade in other Seattle projects, most notably Jericho Hill, Stoic FB, and Mafyk.
Shudderspeed blossomed, and spearheaded by bassist Nick Skinnell and guitarist Ryan Healey, writing went full steam, often leading to indulgent and overly-lengthy compositions, brought back to a listenable center with the addition of drummer and common-sense haver, Adam Birchman. With Adam's rugged good looks in tow, Shudderspeed was ready for anything.
Except no one in the band could sing.
So the band forwent songwriting to quest for a vocalist that was up to the challenge. Several years went by, when one rainy day, while tripping on a healthy dose of mushrooms, Nick found a reptile. In a fungus fog, Nick transmuted the reptile into a handsome lad with seismic vocal range, Charlie Aust. Charlie was given no choice and forced to join Shudderspeed, completing the rock band quartet that everyone now knows and loves.
