What's a story you couldn't tell people back in the day? Didn't have to hide much back then, as evidenced by Nudestock...
But we once bought all the tickets to a competitors '80s party promotion and handed them out to the homeless, with a promise of live music and free food! The show wasn't selling well, so we figured we'd give it a boost. Sorry about that KXRX.
What band were you most proud to bring to a bigger audience? Candlebox. Kevin Martin was awesome. Little known fact: he sang the Twisted Tune "Space Station Oddity".
How has Seattle changed the most? It's grown into one of the most important and influential cities on Earth. So many big brains.
What's something you never thought you'd see? A Ferris Wheel on the waterfront and a Super Bowl.
What's your best memory of meeting a rock star? To be friends with Alan White, and to have had the honor of being in a band with Steve Fossen and Mike Derosier (Heart) ranks just below the birth of my children.
Who was your best friend at the station back in the day? Jim Kampmann.
Legendary newsman and Eskimo who helped me get sober.
Name a KISW band you still love! What?! I'm sorry you'll have to speak louder... AC/DC without a doubt.
Favorite concert from your time at KISW? Blue Oyster Cult in my garage.
What was your most memorable band interview? Randy Bachman came in with a guitar and talked and played all his hits for 2 hours.
What's Bob up to now? Semi Retired, serving as a Maple Syrup Tycoon somewhere in the Northeast and cranking out podcasts.
