About a month ago, 9-year-old Ben Miller of Boise, Idaho walked into his local animal shelter with a plastic bag full of cash.

He donated his recent collection of funds he earned from his lemonade stand.  In total, Miller has donated $1,950, all from selling lemonade.

It’s the third lemonade fundraising event Miller has held since 2019, when he was inspired after visiting the Idaho Humane Society with his grandmother and noticed that some of the cats didn’t have toys.

Ben’s mother Amy told Good News Network that this latest event brought in people from all over the valley, and that people sent money even without visiting to get a drink.

Ben says he has no plans to stop his charity work any time soon, which makes his mother proud. Amy said “It really just blew me away.”
