Dallas Cowboys legend and current Jackson State Football head coach Deion Sanders just revealed that a recent medical procedure resulted in the amputation of two toes on his left foot.

Sanders had the operation last fall in the middle of football season, as a dislocated toe and an inflamed nerve led to a possible further spread of an infection that necessitated the amputation.

Sanders said during an episode of his documentary series Coach Prime that is expected to air on Tuesday night on Barstool Sports, "They were talking about the amputation of toes. Then they were talking about the amputation of my leg from the knee down. Then, they were trying to ensure I had life."
