We've all made mistakes on the job, right? We probably all have a story where we've screwed one thing or another up. It happens.

Well this security guard in Russia didn't necessarily make a mistake per se on the FIRST day of his job, but he did ruin a $1 million painting because he was BORED!

63-year-old Alexander Vasiliev was hired through a private security firm to guard Anna Leporskaya's avant-garde artwork Three Figures, on display at Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center' in Yekaterinburg.

On the first day on the job, in what museum officials are calling a potential "lapse in sanity," he drew sets of eyes on the faceless paintings.

Apparently, Vasiliev was "egged on" by a group of schoolgirls visiting the exhibit, though according to Daily Mail, he said he didn't "really like these pictures [at the exhibition]."

Prosecutors apparently stopped short of pressing criminal charges against Vasiliev due to the relatively "insignificant" damage to the piece of art. The 63-year-old's damage was ultimately classified as an act of "vandalism," which in Russia, comes with a maximum sentence of three months in prison, 360 hours forced labor, and/or a 40k ruble ($5K) fine.
