Sesame Street is finally entering the digital marketplace, and have just announced its first run of NFTs.
They seem to be just a tad late on the digital collectibles train, but nevertheless, the first NFTs from the iconic television show will feature Cookie Monster, which will be available on the VeVe digital collectibles app starting March 19th.
According to Variety, 5,555 editions of the Cookie Monster NFT will be released, and will be available for $60 each. Additional Sesame Street collectibles will be released later this year.
Jennifer Ahearn, Sesame Workshop's VP, global strategic partnerships and themed entertainment, said in a statement, "Collaborating with VeVe for [Sesame Street's] first collection of digital collectibles is a great way to celebrate [the series'] enduring legacy and give our long-time fans a new way to showcase their love for Sesame Street and its characters."
