Actor, writer, and director Tyler Perry moved into his massive film studio, Tyler Perry Studios, in 2019.
Understandably, the area around the complex’s location in Atlanta has seen an increase in property taxes, which is causing major trouble for many of the seniors who can no longer afford to live in their homes.
Of course, being the person he is, Perry donated $750,000 to help the seniors living near his studio keep their homes.

Per TMZ, the donation will pay off all back property taxes for every low-income senior in Atlanta, covering nearly 300 homes.
The money will also “effectively freeze property taxes for 100 low-income seniors for 20 years,” with the money going to pay the difference between current property taxes and property tax increases over the next two decades.
Perry will also be donating $500,000 a year for the next four years, working out to about $2.75 million in total donations!
