Jennifer Lopez has confirmed she’s in love with Ben Affleck.
The 52-year-old “Marry Me” star got candid about rekindling her romance with Affleck, 17 years after calling off their engagement and ending their relationship the first time.
During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Lopez disclosed how shocked they both were to find themselves back in each other’s arms after nearly two decades.
“I don’t think anybody was more surprised than us,” Lopez told DeGeneres.
“You never could imagine that something like that could happen. It’s a beautiful thing.”
The talk show host then flashed an image of People magazine’s recent cover story on Lopez which had the words “in love” splashed across the front.
“I did my interview for ‘Marry Me’ and they put ‘Jennifer Lopez in love’ on the cover,” the “Waiting for Tonight” singer said, before confirming the headline. “It’s true though.”
While Lopez and Affleck are now floating on cloud 9 together, their first time around was a tumultuous ride.

The pair famously began dating in 2002, starred in two films together, and were engaged to be married before calling it off in 2004.
In a recent article, Lopez reflected on their romance and how the media’s fascination with all things “Bennifer” contributed to their break-up.
“It was brutal," Lopez said of the constant press coverage. "It’s one of those things that you bury very deeply so you can move on and get about your business.”

“It’s funny because Ben and I were together, and we were so in love," she added. "It was one of the happiest times of my life. But also, there was this other thing happening where we were being criticized, and it really destroyed our relationship from the inside out, because we were just too young to understand at that time what were really the most important things in life.”
Lopez and Affleck went Instagram official while celebrating the actress’ birthday on a yacht last July.
