USWNT to play friendly soccer match against China PR in Missouri in June

KANSAS CITY - The United States Women's National Team (USWNT) are coming back to Missouri this summer.

On Monday, it was announced that the USWNT will play a friendly against China PR at Energizer Park in St. Louis on Tuesday, June 3.

The match will feature a pre-game ceremony for St. Louis-native Becky Sauerbrunn. Sauerbrunn announced her retirement from professional soccer entirely in December 2024.

It will the seventh time the USWNT has played a match in St. Louis, and its second match at Energizer Park.

The last time the USWNT came to St. Louis in April 2023, they defeated Northern Ireland 1-0, from a goal by Kansas City Current defender Alana Cook.

The match in St. Louis at Energizer Park will be the second of two matches the USWNT plays against China PR, with the first match set to take place three days earlier in Minneapolis.

Before those matches against China PR, the USWNT will also play two friendlies against Brazil in April.

The announcement of the match comes just days after the USWNT lost to Japan in the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, marking just only the third time the USWNT had not won the cup since it launched in 2016.

Presales for the match in St. Louis will begin on Tuesday, March 4 at 10 a.m., a General on-sale will begin Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. CT.
