In August, Carly Pearce was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, fulfilling a lifelong dream, as the singer-songwriter had been a huge fan of country music ever since she was a little girl. But the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and ACM Female Artist of the Year won't ever forget her first visit to the Opry, during which she admits to fangirling Dierks Bentley.

“The first time I actually got to go to the Opry, I think I was 15, 16," she recalls in a statement from her label. "I just freaked out. My mom got us like second row tickets because she knew that I had to see it up close.

"And this is gonna be funny, but I wore a little white tank top because Dierks Bentley was there and he was a new artist, and he was singing ‘What Was I Thinkin’,’ which is funny. Maybe I’ll tell him that someday.”
