ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A vigil and funeral arrangements have been set for the 21-year-old Ole Miss student from St. Louis who was murdered outside of her college town.
Thursday, July 25, starting at 8 p.m., people will gather at Lindbergh High School to mourn Alexandria “Ally” Madison Kostial. She graduated from there in 2016.
A public visitation for Kostial will take place from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday July 26, with a public funeral scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27. Services will be held at Concordia Kirkwood Lutheran Church at 505 S. Kirkwood Rd., St. Louis.
A GoFundMe has been established to support the Kostial family as they plan for funeral expenses now instead of college tuition. Donors have raised more than $25,000, as of July 26.
Kostial was found dead Saturday night in the Harmontown community near Sardis Lake, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) from her campus. A 22-year-old from Texas, who was attending the university as well, has been charged with the murder.
Investigations are ongoing.
