ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOX) — Angie Housman's accused killer is now charged with sexual assault on a separate girl years ago, in the same area of north county that Housman was abducted.

Earl Cox is charged with two counts of sodomy involving a 7-year old girl police say he sexually assaulted about four years before Angie Housman disappeared.

The alleged attacks took place sometime between 1987 and 1991 in a park behind Housman's grade school.  DNA evidence found at the Housman crime scene led to the charges in this case.  Also, allegations involving a second 7-year old girl in the same vicinity are also under investigation.

The 61-year old Cox was transferred to the St. Charles County jail Wednesday night from North Carolina to answer to answer charges of kidnapping, rape and murder in the Housman case.
