
MADISONVILLE, Tenn. (KMOX) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have joined Monroe County Sheriff's Office in the search for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Jan. 13. Authorities continue to ask for public assistance to find the 5'3", 110 lbs teenager with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Savannah Leigh Pruitt was last seen at her home in Madisonville, Tenn., but detectives say her two cell phones both pinged location near Corbin, Ky., about a mile and half across the Kentucky state line. Her phones have been off since Jan. 14, authorities say.
The Sheriff's Office says this is the first time a teenage girl has been missing for this long and "at this level." It's also a first to have the FBI involved in the investigation and search, according WATE.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the search, including the FBI and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Police ask anyone with information to call 423-442-3911.
