ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A major meteor shower is expected to cross the skies tonight and into the early hours of Tuesday, breaking a four-month drought of major shooting star events in North America.
The Lyrids will bring up to 20 meteors an hour Monday night, however, clouds across the Midwest may obstruct many St. Louis stargazers' views.
St. Louis falls just between the poor and fair visibility ranges, according to AccuWeather.
Clear conditions on the West and East coasts will make for good visibility of the stars in those regions.
