Funeral Today for St. Louis Native Killed in Syrian Suicide Bomber Attack

OAKVILLE, Mo. (KMOX) — The St. Louis native who was killed by a suicide bomber in Syria is being laid to rest today.

The body of former Navy SEAL and Department of Defense civilian employee Scott Wirtz will arrive at Jefferson Barracks at about 1 p.m. today.

The Facebook group Oakville Residents UNITE is encouraging people to line up along Telegraph between Interstate 255 and Sheridan Road starting at 12:45.

You're encouraged to bring American flags and signs and show "appreciation of his sacrifice."
