MACOUPIN COUNTY, Ill. (KMOX) - Illinois State Police say one of their troopers was shot in the hand by a suspect who crashed into a median on Interstate 55 near Staunton, Saturday afternoon.
The pursuit began in Glen Carbon, and sources tell KMOX News it could be linked to an armed robbery at a business off Route 159.
State Police say their trooper exchanged gunfire with the suspect before he was taken into custody.
