ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Former St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda are still giving back to the community, long after his Hall of Fame playing career ended.

The Warners' First Things First foundation unveiled the charity's 50th donated home in the bi-state region on Saturday. The Warner's donated some furnishings inside the home.

A single mother and her four daughters will be living inside it.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been working with Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis for more than six months to become a first-time homeowner, according to Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis CEO Kimberly McKinney. She put in 350 hours of sweat equity, helping to build her home. She took coursework in financial literacy and home maintenance to ensure that she will be successful at taking care of her property. She did all of this while pregnant with her fourth child.

"We are deeply grateful to the Kurt and Brenda Warner, Aarons and U-Haul for providing this homebuyer with furnishings for her home – an incredible gift for this mom who is, in many ways, starting all over again," McKinney wrote in an email to KMOX. "As a former single mother, Brenda Warner understands how hard it is to raise children by oneself. I thank Brenda and Kurt for empowering this family and so many through the generosity of their foundation.   But make no mistake – the real hero of this story is our homebuyer – an independent woman who recreated her life by building and buying her own home."

Since 2002, the Warners have partnered with Habitat For Humanity to make dreams come true for qualifying families.
