ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Although the St. Louis Cardinals are owners of the best record in baseball, going into games on Thursday, their expected MVP players have yet to put up expected numbers.
And it's oddly similar to how last year began for both Paul Goldschimdt and Matt Carpenter.
Both hit the ball really, really hard. Basically as hard as anyone, but didn't see a lot success in the first few months of the year. But by September, they were MVP candidates.
And this year, both players are having a relatively slow start, but the experience of going through struggles has helped them stay the course.
