ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis company normally uses technology to help companies promote their brand.
In these difficult times, it's using its expertise to help families coping with grief.
Gator Media STL has started recording funeral services and creating reflection videos for family and friends who are prevented from attending memorials due to coronavirus restrictions.
"You can't grieve your loved one the same as a month ago, " ponts out owner James Jackson II. Jackson says he's been amazed at the gratitude families have shown. "Family members are really grateful to be able to at least share it this way, because if they couldn't a lot of people wouldn't be able to be a part of it."
Jackson says he's been called on to record last rites for a family who wasn't able to travel from Texas to Missouri to be there in person. He says some families are sending in photos digitally, so they can be a part of the remembrance he creates on video.
