ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Today, Metro is beginning to relocate or remove about 400 bus stops in St. Louis City and County.
Spokesperson Patti Beck told KMOX those that are going to change were identified through a comprehensive analysis and public input. In fact, she says rider response has prompted the agency to leave in place at least 50 bus stops that were slated to be moved or removed.
"We give our customers two weeks to let us know what they think about that bus stop being removed. Some bus stops are under-utilized, some are not utilized at all. That's why it's important for our customers to reach out to us and let us know," Beck said.
According to Beck, the changes will take weeks to complete and as long as the bus stop sign is there, the bus will stop there.
These adjustments are not part of Metro Reimagined, the re-design of the entire Metrobus system to be released soon.
