ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — Now that the Mississippi River is returning to normal levels, plans to enhance the St. Louis riverfront experience can launch.

The spring, the Gateway Arch Partnership had lined up a variety of businesses to set up shop on Lenore K. Sullivan Boulevard for the season.

Anne Milford is with Great Rivers Greenway, "As we all know, Old Man River rose and stayed at flood stage for more than two months, so it really impacted our plans for summer on the riverfront."

Vendors have been asked to operate six days a week through lunch and early evening, weather permitting. Anne Milford says they have the option of staying on the riverfront through October.
