The Missouri Highway Patrol tells KMOX, 16-year-old Trenton Crane became fatigued and inhaled water.

Craine was a Herculaneum High School student and Dunklin R-5 School District Superintendent Stan Stratton posted on the district's Facebook page saying, "Many of the details are not available to us at this time, but I ask that you keep Trenton Crane's family in your thoughts and prayers."
