ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Two Mothers Day surprise discoveries have MoDOT getting the word out about lane closures that'll affect Monday morning commuters.
"A bridge inspection found a crack on a critical part of the Jefferson Barracks Bridge, westbound I-255." district engineer Tom Blair said during a Sunday press conference. "As a result, we've had to fully close westbound 255."
Blair suggests taking the Poplar Street, Stan Musial Veterans, or Chain of Rocks bridges instead.
The other problem involves a collapsed storm drain on westbound I-44 near Grand in St. Louis. Only one lane of traffic is getting through.

Blair suggests avoiding Interstate 44 from Interstate 55 to Grand.
