A recent study shows nearly half of US consumers said they would consider giving used apparel as a present this year and even more would welcome gifts from the resale market.
Beyond the historic storefront of Karma in Glen Carbon, IL is a shop filled with second-hand fashion finds.
"I think the movement to support local businesses... shop small... recycling... green [movement] also seems to be applying to retail," says owner Erin Groeteka.
