ST. LOUIS (KMOX) updated with condition of officers involved— The two police officers who were taken to the hospital with injuries after crashing during the funeral procession for officer Michael Langsdorf "are going to recover."

The accident was caused by congested traffic during the procession around 3 p.m. at Jamieson and Lansdowne Avenues. It involved two officers on police motorcycles, one from St. Charles County and the other Webster Groves.

St. Charles County Police Chief David Todd told media both officers "will walk away." He said one officer has "road rash" and the other may have a broken leg and a head injury.

The only vehicles involved in the accident were the two police motorcycles.

Vehicles and officers from a number of departments across the St. Louis Metro area were invovled in the procession.

A Facebook live video shows the two motorcycles laying on the ground, with one of the injured officers receiving aid from first responders who were nearby.
