ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Metro Transit says a total of nine employees—union and non-union—have tested positive.

Spokeswoman Patti Beck says that includes one person at headquarters, five at the Brentwood bus station, one at the DeBalivre bus station, one at Illinois Metrolink, and one Call-a-Ride worker.

Beck says all employees are being temperature checked and screened for symptoms daily before being allowed to work.

And she says buses and trains get a “deep cleaning” once a day, with spot cleanings during the day.

Beck says at this point people should take “only essential trips on transit.”
