Attorney for St. Louis family affected by coronavirus: They did nothing wrong

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An attorney for the St. Louis County family whose father took one daughter to a public dance while the other daughter was home under testing for the coronavirus says the family did nothing wrong.

Attorney Neal Bruntrager says they were never told to stay in their Ladue home, until later when the diagnosis was confirmed. The confirmation of the diagnosis didn't come until 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to Bruntrager, although the daughter returned to the St. Louis area on a train from Chicago early in the week.

County Executive Sam Page said yesterday that the county health department had told the family to self-quarantine before the dance, but he had nothing in writing to show that. The family is now quarantined after their older daughter came back from Italy with the virus.
