LOOK: Wall of water slowed traffic on St. Louis highway

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A wall of water was shooting from a hillside next to westbound Interstate 270 near West Florissant Ave. on Tuesday morning. It looked like a geyser from one of MoDOT's traffic cameras. 

"If you need a free car wash head that way because it's really gushing," KMOX traffic reporter Rodger Brand said just before 7 a.m. The water was turned off about an hour later.

Brand estimated it was shooting at least 20-feet in the air as it could be seen clearing the tops of tractor-trailers passing by. Traffic in the area of north St. Louis County was slow as the two right lanes were closed.
