ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A suspect is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Carondelet.
It happened near the intersection of Bates and Virginia at about 9:30 last night.

Police Chief John Hayden says a 28-year-old man walking down the street was stopped by an officer. The suspect ran, the officer gave chase, and then Hayden says the suspect refused to drop his semi-automatic gun. That's when an officer shot him.

It's unclear if he was connected to Tuesday night's shooting in the area that sent a 14-year-old boy to the hospital.
